Warwick is one of Queenslands oldest settlements. It was explored by Allan Cunningham & settled by the Leslie brothers who have many local landmarks named in their honour. Warwick East State School is one of Queenslands first education centres operating since 1888. Warwick is known as the Rose City & city of schools.

The main street is alive with blooming roses during spring & summer. It is the centre for several state and private schools, Scotts College is operated by the Uniting Church, as a day and boarding school. The local area is well served with doctors & health care facilities at Warwick Hospital, 2 aged care facilities cater for residents who are unable to look after themselves.

There are several sporting fields adjacent to the Cunningham & New England Highway which pass through Warwick. Warwick has an excellent water supply being fed water from Leslie Dam and Connolly Dam. The actual city area covers 5 square miles with a population of 14,000 people, the Warwick Shire area has a population of 25,000 people and covers Killarney, Tannymorel, Emu Vale, Maryvale, Freestone, Dalveen, Pratten, Leyburn & Karara.

Warwick is located less than two hours from Brisbane and the Gold Coast, servicing a population of around 28,000 people.  Warwick features excellent educational facilities with first class schools and colleges.  In addition, the shopping facilities are second to none and Warwick also enjoys a most stimulating climate with an average temperature of 22 degrees Celsius.
